Review of Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Lost potential
Star Rating - 9/13/2018
Driving in from the Durango airport (If you can ignore the slum area just before town on 160) is a beautiful sight!
As pretty as any town in Colorado. (Except for all of the crappy mobile homes, cars, old rvs, junk piles, etc.
There’s plenty to do here as far as outdoor activities. Great fishing in the river. The Hot Spring resorts are amazing!
Most snow in Colorado at Wolf Creek ski area.
Wow what missed potential this area has.,
Hard to believe they won’t at least clean up the main corridor into town.

I guess I don’t remember the slums of Pagosa. If they’re there you need at least 250,000 to live in them lol

You nailed it. Trash sitting here there. The people that run things mostly dont know what they are doing. They cant collect money from the crackhead type people who dont have it. They do however give business owners a hard time, I think they want bribes in order for you to do anything then they will leave you alone. That is unless you know someone. The cost of living is sky high, the usual for colorado. Wolf creek is an amazing ski area and one of the last cheap places to ski, for now. To bad pagosa is such a dump with crooked people. Smallest town with the largest law enforcement presence I have ever seen. I've heard stories about FBI raids, people and govt employees being sued, go figure. If this place were to be fumigated it would probably be good good.
